Dance/Movement Therapists can furthermore be licensed in a behavioral health profession (social work, marriage & family therapy, counseling and psychology) when they meet the requirements.

In March 2024, Pennsylvania implemented Act 4, which created a new associate professional counselor (LAPC) license. This license allows recent graduates with a master's degree to apply for licensure immediately after graduation and work under supervision towards full independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). A Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) is an individual who is gaining supervised clinical experience to become a licensed professional counselor. >> Click here << for more information on LAPC requirements.
